Google Voice Search – What is positioning for voice search. Check how to optimize and position your site to respond well to voice searches

Google voice search is an increasingly popular option. We use it very often both in the desktop browser itself as well as on mobile devices or in the Google assistant. This trend has led to the emergence of a new type of positioning website which is used in positioning for voice searches. So what is it, why is it worth to express it and what benefits does it provide? We present the answers in this text below.

What is SEO for voice search?

To answer this question, first of all you need to explain what is the voice search itself. It is a service offered by Google, which is available in the traditional search engine, on mobile devices or functions in the Google assistant. Such search is based on activating the microphone of the device, and verbally asking a question. The question is a part of everyday speech.

Positioning a website for voice search focuses on optimizing the website and positioning it for this type of search. Standard SEO is based on phrases and keywords that we manually enter into Google search engine. Whereas, positioning for voice search, is based on optimizing the website for long-tail keywords.. These are keywords consisting of several or even over a dozen words reflecting fragments of colloquial speech.

By using voice search positioning, our website will match exactly such phrases and will be best suited for this type of search. Positioning for voice search can be implemented either as the main type of positioning or as an additional way of website optimization. It is based on standard website configuration and optimization as well as positioning activities, but it has some specific elements, which are typical for this type of positioning.

What distinguishes Voice Search Engine Optimization

The basis of SEO is the usual optimization of the website for Google search. However, there are a few elements that make this type of SEO more suitable for voice search.

First and foremost, the biggest difference is the choice of appropriate keywords under which our website is positioned. These are long-tail words, which are natural phrases and questions. Thus, your website will be positioned exactly for those phrases that are asked in voice search by the users. These will be questions such as “What time is the Poland England match” and not the phrases used in standard searches for information such as “Poland England match when”. The difference in phrases for which we will be positioning our website is simply a result of the way people search, and positioning your website for voice search is a response to this style of searching for information.

The second element that is key in positioning your website for voice search and on which most emphasis is placed is the responsiveness of the site. Voice searches overwhelmingly come from mobile devices such as phones and tablets. This makes it easier to find information on such devices due to their size. Therefore, in order to optimize the website for voice search we should make sure that our website is responsive and build it mainly for this purpose.

When positioning a website for voice search, special emphasis is also placed on the time of information delivery, i.e. the time it takes for the website to load and its speed. These are important elements because the Google search engine places particular emphasis on the speed of obtaining information for this type of search.

Why you should optimize your website for GVS

Optimizing websites for Google Voice Search is a very beneficial process that is worth taking advantage of. We can use it to different extent and with different intensity, but it is definitely worth remembering that such optimization brings many benefits.
First of all, positioning your website for voice search allows you to become a leader in this area of search quite easily. Most websites do not put emphasis on this element of Google search. Thanks to this we can relatively easily become a strong position in the ranking of search results in a given topic category precisely in the area of voice search. Given the possibility of getting a lot of organic traffic this way, we can also compete with stronger sites in given topic categories, and alternatively get organic traffic if we cannot compete with our competitors in the traditional way.

Voice search positioning can also be conducted as an additional type of website positioning. We can optimize pages in this way in addition to other type of positioning such as standard or broad or local. In this way our website will be more comprehensively promoted on the Internet so we can use its potential and gain more organic traffic.

Google Voice Search positioning itself is very simple. It does not require from us large financial outlays or risky actions. We can also introduce such optimization gradually, monitoring all the changes occurring on the site. Therefore, it is worth preparing for such changes a little earlier.

Hint: If we want to optimize our website for voice search results and we are not able to do it ourselves, it is a good idea to go to an SEO agency. These are agencies that specialize in SEO and have a very wide range of services. Increasingly, you will also find them optimizing pages for voice search results. Even if they are not permanently in the offer, certainly the specialists will perform such optimization for us on request.

SEO in 2022 – trends, tendencies and predictions

There is no doubt that websites and online stores in recent years are experiencing a real boom in popularity. No wonder – we buy more and more online, the Internet has become our main source of knowledge, entertainment, and in many cases the workplace. This makes SEO still of particular importance. What trends are predicted for 2022?

Voice Search

In 2022, voice search is predicted to grow exceptionally in popularity. We are still striving to speed up everything we do, and searching for keywords of interest using voice is much faster than using a keyboard. What does this mean for web content creators? First of all, it indicates that this year it is worth betting on long keyword phrases. Spoken language is different from written language, so content should now be optimized for voice search.

Video content at the forefront of popularity

Video content of any kind is extremely popular, and 2022 is likely to see an escalation in that popularity. Most people are visual learners who remember any information best when they have the opportunity to juxtapose what they hear with what they see. This makes it likely that video channels of all kinds will become extremely popular. Pay attention to the channel name and keywords used to describe the content.

EAT compliance

EAT is in Polish translation an acronym of three words: Expertise, Authoritativeness, Credibility. This year, we will pay even more attention to the compliance of the content with EAT principles. What do they consist in? Google’s search engine strictly scrutinizes websites in the areas that matter most to our lives. This includes industries such as medicine or finance. Google checks to what extent these sites are credible and whether they build a positive reputation. Therefore, content creators from such industries should take special care and quality of content to be highly positioned in search engine results.

Search not only in text

We have already mentioned the predicted increase in popularity of voice search. However, it turns out that graphical search will also become more and more popular. In this regard, the search engine will get a big improvement, and the image search will become more accurate and effective. So it is worth paying attention not only to text, but also to graphics.

Semantic keywords

Semantic keywords will play an exceptional role in SEO 2022. They help the search engine better understand the context of the search, which translates into displaying the user content that actually interests them. This, in turn, will lead to increased search performance and higher rankings in search engine results. This is something you need to take advantage of!

To sum up…

The year 2022 will bring an increase in the importance of not so much SEO, but actually SXO, or user experience optimization. According to the latest standards, content on websites should be best suited to user expectations and preferences, which in turn will translate into high conversions and better results.

SEF + SEO perfect symbiosis – excellent results

Positioning and search engine optimization are terms that come up a lot online these days. Do you know what they mean?

Website optimization is editing the source code of a website in order to adjust the website to the current requirements of search engines and eliminate any technical errors. As part of optimization, the website is indexed by web robots. It is worth stressing that optimization of a website for the requirements of search engines is one but not the only element of the website positioning process. More and more often one notices interchangeable use of the notions of positioning and SEO, which is in fact incorrect. Positioning is a very broad definition, referring to Internet marketing in its broadest sense.

How do we divide website optimization?

Simply put, we can divide website optimization into three scopes of activities. The first one is a modification of the content on the website in terms of the phrases used, on which the campaigns will be conducted. The second scope of activities within optimization is introducing changes in source codes, which is aimed at improving the functioning of the website. We can put it as a technical optimization. The last scope of optimization activities are changes in the source code, which are aimed at locating key phrases in appropriate places.

Optimization of a web page is first of all optimization of its content. The basis here is the matching of the title, which should never be a matter of chance. Moreover, an important issue is the placement and correct positioning of keywords in the existing content. This is what SEO copywriting does. It is important to properly choose headings, create effective internal and external linking, as well as set up alternative text for graphic elements contained on the page.

Speaking of source code optimization, we mainly mean adjusting the website to current W3C standards, as well as separating the logical layer of document structure from the layer of its presentation. The aim of source code optimization is also to shorten the page loading time. A potential client is more likely to return to the website if it loads quickly and smoothly. When creating source code optimization, you should also remember that nowadays most users use mobile devices, so the website should be adjusted to be displayed correctly on smartphones and tablets.

What is SEF?

SEF (Search engine friendly) is a definition which is reflected in the design of websites compatible with search engines in terms of content indexing. The point is that web addresses should be clear and legible, contain keywords, and on top of that, they should facilitate moving around the website and easy navigation. According to SEF principles, a website address should be as short as possible and should lead the viewer to the most important information. SEF rules are quite complicated and assume, among others, adding robots.txt file with guidelines for indexing robots or creating a site map in XML format, which contains links to specific subpages of the website.

Is SEO ethical?

Controversy over SEO invariably swirls around the web. No wonder, because next to the most advisable activities, unethical actions are also used, e.g. with a huge accumulation of keywords not always in line with the content of the text or hiding keywords e.g. in the page background color. Such actions, although technically effective, are not ethical and arouse considerable emotions.
What is the importance of optimization and positioning of a website?

First of all, you have to remember that a website is one of millions of similar sites on the Internet, so in order for a client to find this particular one, positioning it in search engine results is essential. The more potential customers visit your website and stay on it, the higher the chance of success.

Search Engine Optimization – All about improving websites position in Google, types, advantages, options and reasons for positioning websites

Website positioning is one of the most commonly used marketing strategies, and it helps to effectively promote all brands online. Increasing a website’s ranking in Google search results, however, is a somewhat mysterious process, and many companies and brands are not quite sure what it consists of. When this happens, positioning is outsourced to agencies by brands and clients not fully aware of what SEO is, or it is not used at all to promote the brand. However, positioning is a very beneficial way of promoting a brand online and is definitely worth using. All about promoting websites to Google search engine below.

Positioning – what is it?

Website positioning is the process of adjusting and optimizing a website for Google search. Its purpose is to increase the position of the website in Google search engine under specific keywords or in specific thematic categories. Positioning is also a continuous process as well as a long-term and unpredictable one. These three elements best demonstrate the nature of SEO. Positioning is also one of the most popular and widely used digital marketing strategies. SEO in internet marketing is a qualitative, flexible and beneficial form of promotion.

Positioning can be done both independently as well as by outsourcing it to professionals such as individual specialists or marketing agencies. There are many different types of agencies on the market offering such services.

Website positioning itself consists of two parts – on-page optimization or on-site activities on the website, and off-site positioning activities outside the website. Generally there are even several hundred elements influencing the position of our website on the Internet, which are optimized and configured during the positioning process. Website positioning is also a conscious process in which we decide by ourselves in which context and under which keywords our website should be visible in Google search engine.

Why are sites being positioned?

Web positioning is done because of the nature of the Google search engine. It is designed in such a way that it evaluates websites found on the internet for a number of factors and then creates an index of websites along with ratings. When users type in a specific keyword, the search engine analyzes the index and displays the user those sites that it believes will be the best answer to the question. Google’s search engine tries to present sites that contain rich thematic content and that work quickly and efficiently and are user-friendly. Web positioning, therefore, is the adaptation of a website to the Google search engine in such a way that it is ranked highly and well by the search engine itself and displayed in the top positions in the search results.

This is especially important because Google searchers mostly use the first search results. Subsequent results have a correspondingly lower interest and a smaller number of visits to the site. So the higher you are in the Google search results, the more organic traffic you can count on, and as a result, more customers and more money.

Websites are therefore positioned in order to be as visible as possible in the search engine and as relevant to it as possible. A website created and published on its own, usually will not appear in high positions in the search engine and is not automatically adapted to the Google search engine. Optimization and positioning of a website are difficult, complex and time-consuming tasks that require a lot of attention.

Types of positioning

The first basic type of website positioning is standard – global positioning. It is the promotion of a website on the Internet under specific keywords globally. Most often these are the most popular keywords in a specific thematic category or phrases under which we want to be visible when they are typed in the Google search engine. This type of positioning gives the most profits and the highest organic traffic, but also with this type of site promotion there is the greatest competition in the category.

Local positioning is the second type of SEO that is often used on the internet. It is also positioning a website for specific keywords but only in a local search context. It means that a website positioned in such a way will be visible in Google only when a given keyword is entered into the search engine with the name of the town or city, or is searched for by a person living in a given town or region. Local positioning is designed for companies and brands that operate locally or want to reach people only from a given region. With local positioning there is much less competition and it allows you to be visible in Google search only in a local context.

Broad Positioning is an alternative type of positioning to the standard one. It is the opposite of basic SEO, as it is based on promoting a website for many phrases without favoring any of them. It is the opposite of promoting your site for only a few of the most popular keywords in a given subject, but it also has its advantages. Positioning your website this way allows you to gain a lot of organic traffic by getting a small number of hits from a large number of phrases. This type of positioning is supposed to give the same or better results than global positioning and is often used when there is a lot of competition in a given subject category and we cannot overtake leading websites in a direct fight. Broad positioning is also often implemented when positioning online stores because of wide range of products that stores have and a large number of phrases related to products found in the e-store.

Positioning is also niche and rare ways of promoting websites on the Internet. Most often these types of positioning are implemented in specific situations, when we care about reaching a specific audience, and also as complementary ways of positioning. Such ways include positioning for mobile devices or positioning for voice search. The basis of these ways of website promotion is standard positioning. However, the website is optimized for display on small screen devices or for voice search, which is carried out in a slightly different way – on the basis of long tails, i.e. phrases consisting of several words and being colloquial speech, e.g. a question.

Why it is worth positioning websites

Websites are worth positioning for several reasons. The first reason why it is worth doing is the attractive cost of acquiring a customer. According to many specialists and statistics as well as experience, funds allocated for website positioning pay for themselves best – and thus the cost of gaining a customer is the best. By allocating funds for positioning, we also invest them in a website, which will work and bring profits even after the positioning, which is impossible for example with Google Ads or Facebook Ads campaigns. Staying on the financial side, we can also allocate budgets of different amounts for positioning and do it in a flexible manner adapted to our capabilities. Positioning can be easily scaled by allocating more resources to the process and get correspondingly better results.

Website positioning is, above all, effective. Being on high positions in Google search results, we can count on considerable traffic. The Google search engine is used by the majority of Internet users and Poles, so we can get a large number of recipients regardless of industry or subject matter in which we operate.

Website positioning is also an image issue and the profits associated with it. If our brand will be on high positions in Google search engine, it will be perceived very positively and professionally. Search engine users believe in Google recommendations, suggesting them and receiving the best brands in the highest positions.

How long does it take and what affects SEO time?

A frequently asked question about SEO is how long it takes and what influences this time. In general, it is impossible to predict the length of time of positioning, because it is affected by a very large number of factors, which we also can not quite determine exactly.

The time of positioning a website is mainly affected by factors such as the condition of our website, competition in the thematic category, the budget we have, the competence of the agency positioning our website, the goal we want to achieve and the popularity of the keywords under which we position the website.

Speaking about the time of website positioning, we can give some time frames or average times of website positioning. It has to be emphasized that these are not concrete and binding information, but rather aim at showing the starting point. For the most popular thematic categories and keywords under which our website will be positioned the positioning time may be even about a year. When positioning a website under moderately popular keywords and in moderately popular thematic categories the time will vary from several months to a year. When positioning a website under the least popular keywords and in niche categories the time of positioning a website on visible positions in Google search engine is usually up to several months.

page rank 2021

5 rules – how to increase Page Rank of a website

Pagerank was developed by Google – it is a set of factors that affect the visibility of your website. It was a term that very often people creating websites/blogs did not know or understand. Realistically, there may be only a few people who understood it one hundred percent because Google’s search engine algorithm is kept and guarded in strict secrecy. Increasing Page Rank was not something easy and pleasant to achieve in one day. If it was, everyone would reach the maximum Page Rank of 10. Currently PageRank is not officially visible, John Mueller, a Google analyst even stated that it is no longer taken into account “officially” 😉 .

I’ll try to give you some suggestions that influenced your page rank correctly when google took it into account:

1. Links flowing to your site should be of good qualityPage Rank

The best way to improve Google Page Rank (maybe not in one day but over a period of time). The key is to obtain links from quality sites, directing to your site. It would be good if the linking sites are thematically related to your website.
For example, if your website is a cycling internet service, it is worth acquiring links from well-known portals and blogs related to this subject. To a large extent, Page Rank will note that the subject matter is similar, so the power of the linking pages will be stronger overall.

2. Write your own original texts for the page.

Don’t copy them from other sites or duplicate them. A common mistake is copying product descriptions e.g. in online stores. Even if it is your own description – it is worth to have it only on one of your pages and not on many (if you run two stores of the same subject). Google algorithm will detect the page that has the original content and will treat worse the pages that have copied descriptions.

3. Do not link from all possible places.

Many people leave comments on other sites with a link to their site or exchange links with all the sites that agree to this, etc. You have to remember that Google’s algorithm first detects the quality of links and not their quantity. Therefore literally a few links from pages with high Page Rank is much stronger than a few hundred links from pages with low PR.

4. Write good texts

If you write good texts, people will read them and provide links from their pages, emails, etc. Good texts are a sign of quality – and quality promotes positioning.

5. remember to use SEO techniques

Search engine optimization is a key factor to increase Page Rank. In the following articles we will describe the most important ones.

Since 2013, Google has made it clear that page rank is no longer the apple of their eye and updates to this factor are no longer regular, but it is important to remember that this factor has gone underground in Google’s algorithms and can still be taken into account in a large percentage to improve search results.

słowa kluczowe w procesie pozycjonowania

Keywords in the positioning process. Check what they are, why are they so important, what are their types and where can we get them from

Keywords are one of the most important elements of the positioning process – check how to choose them! They play a major role, because they decide under which phrases the website is visible in Google search. However, many people do not know what keywords are, why they are so important and how they work. This translates into inaccurate or ineffective and inefficient website positioning activities. In this text we present all the most important information about the keywords in the process of positioning, and we suggest where to get them and how to place them on the website.

What are keywords?

Keywords are the words under which you want your website to be visible in the Google search engine. These words are chosen consciously and are placed on the website in such a way that Google knows what our website is about. The keywords are placed in an intensive manner, putting special and most emphasis on them as compared to other vocabulary found on the website. They are what tell Google’s search engine when we want our website to be displayed on the internet and what questions it answers.

Phrases and keywords are one of the most important ranking factors that determine the position of our website in Google search, as well as when our website will be displayed for a particular query. Generally, there are many types of keywords that are meant to inform Google about the topic of our website in a specific way. Most often – when positioning a website globally – we choose a few or a dozen of the most popular phrases under which we want to be visible in a given thematic category and we put emphasis on such keywords on our website.

Why are they so important in the positioning process?

Keywords are a very important element of the website, because only they inform Google about the topic of the service and suggest when our service should be displayed in the Google search engine. The search engine has no other way of interpreting the service than through the text – especially the words that are intensively exposed on the page. Google’s search engine has a variety of algorithms that can recognize keywords and interpret the site’s subject matter on that basis. Recognizing the subject matter of a website is extremely developed, so adding keywords to a website in a thoughtful way will be very well understood by the search engine. When positioning a website, it is therefore important to pay close attention to keywords so that our website appears in Google searches through deliberate actions and not by chance.

Types of keywords

The keywords that we can place on a website are divided into several types. The first of them are keywords. These are the most popular keywords from a given subject category used in standard positioning – global. Only a few or a dozen of them are used and they are given by far the most emphasis on the website. Main keywords are usually the most competitive in the given thematic category, but they also allow you to gain the most organic traffic. Top phrases are usually the most general and popular topic terms in a given category, which are used by the most people.

The second type of keywords we use when positioning a website are local phrases. These are keywords with a specific topic but containing an additional city name or region name. Local keywords can be the names of cities or locations themselves. Local keywords are used for local SEO. They are meant to inform Google about the topic of our site and also about the local nature of our site. With local keywords, our website is displayed only in the local context of a particular city or region. Their task is to prevent the site from being displayed globally, and to display it if a particular query is about or from a particular city.

Secondary phrases very often escape our attention, but they are the background and basis for the functioning of the main keywords. These are medium to low-popularity phrases that are added in low volume on the website. They are used for both general website positioning and local positioning or many other types of positioning. They are meant to complement the main keywords that we place the most emphasis on. Most often they are used once or several times on the website and their task is to strengthen the context of the website in the eyes of Google search engine, as well as gaining some traffic from less popular keywords.

Long tail phrases are the so-called long tails. This is one of the most interesting types of phrases, which is also quite poorly known. Long tail phrases consist of several single words. Most often they are detailed and less popular terms for specific topics. Long tails are primarily used when positioning a website for voice search. They very well reflect colloquial speech and naturally asked question voiced in the search engine. They are also used to get specific topic traffic and users to the site who are looking for specific products, services or news.

Brand phrases are one of the most used groups of keywords. These are phrases that reflect the brand name. It may be the name of our company as well as global brands of products or services. Such phrases are most often used in the positioning of online stores, where their owners want to acquire organic traffic and customers looking for products of specific brands.

Where to get keywords from?

Another important issue related to keywords is where to obtain them from. This is quite an important question, because when planning website positioning, if we do it on our own, we usually do not know which keywords to use to promote our site. First of all we should determine the largest – maximum number of places from where we can obtain keywords. Thanks to this we will have a choice from a large pool of words and we will be able to better determine the set of keywords for our website, under which we will position the site.

First of all, we should start acquiring keywords by visiting Google’s keyword planner. This is a free tool available in the Google Ads system, which allows you to learn the most popular phrases for a given thematic category or keyword. They are often available with basic statistics, although this is not the rule. In this way we can get many suggestions of keywords for a given thematic category, under which we will position our website. On a similar basis external tools work, so called keyword generators, which additionally offer detailed statistics on specific keywords for a fee. They work by simply typing a keyword or keyword topic in the appropriate main field, and display a proposal of the most popular keywords. Using both Google’s keyword planner and external keyword generators, we will certainly be able to obtain a wide set of interesting and valuable keywords, from which we will choose the most important ones for us.

However, we can determine the keywords for our site in many more ways than the above two tools. We can also obtain keywords from the Google search engine itself. We can do this by typing the main keyword into the search engine. At this point, on the drop-down list we will see several popular similar queries for the given topic. After searching for the query we entered into the search engine at the bottom in the search results page, we will find many more similar queries. This can be very inspiring as well as surprising. We can also source keywords from the Google Trends tool, which is free and allows us to get popular keywords. A method of acquiring keywords, which mostly not too many people are interested in and which is actually quite surprising, is the analysis of competitors’ sites. Before we start positioning, when we will analyze with which sites our website will be competing, we can, for example, with the help of free SEO audits, check what keywords occur most often on the most popular sites in a given thematic category. Thanks to this we will learn what positioning strategy has been adopted by particular competitive websites and we will be able to use keywords with the greatest potential for us.

How to place phrases on the website?

If we have already determined the keywords under which we want to position our website, it is also worth telling how we can place them on our website. First of all, we can do it in SEO texts, which are dedicated to this task. These are texts written according to the principle of SEO copywriting, that is mainly for the search engine, so that it can easily find out what our website is about. We can write SEO texts ourselves according to SEO standards or order them from copywriters. Another place where we can put phrases on the website are elements like menus, footers or tabs of contacts, about us etc. A non-obvious place that many people forget about is the URL. We can put keywords in the addresses of individual subpages. We can also add them in the titles and descriptions of subpages, which will be visible as search results in Google. All this will make our website more readable for users, and the Google search engine will reward such action with a higher positioning of the site for given keywords.
